Professional English III (HTEN_211)
This module, as all language modules, is aligned with the Common European Framework of References (CEFR) for Languages. The course intends to further extend the basic language skills focusing on communication in the hospitality and tourism industry. By the end of the semester, students are expected to have gone half way through the B1 Level.
This is the first course in a sequential series, and it provides students with basic language skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing in English, with an emphasis on practical vocabulary and professional situations.
By the end of the semester, students are expected to be close at functioning close to B1 + Level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Language.
Food and Beverage Service II (HTPM_211)
This module is designed to introduce students to the organisation and management of the food and beverage department, and gives students the opportunity to understand management´s applications.

Aims
This module assists students to acknowledge the importance of Entertainment and Animation in the hospitality and tourism industry. Students are enabled to identify animation and entertainment needs and the trends shaping them. They gain and understanding of the requirements for effective organization and management of animation and entertainment and its relationship with other departments in hotels and other contexts. The module exposes students to the entertainment and animation facilities of various resorts, spas, casinos, cruise ships and other hospitality and tourism venues and enables them to understand their different operational requirements. |

constitute an important sector of the hospitality and tourism industry.
Therefore, this module will examine the planning of MICE events.
Professional Russian II (HTRU_211 / CARU 211.2)
This is the second level in a sequential series of the Russian Language courses for professional purposes. The course intends to enable students to strengthen their knowledge on the world of hospitality and tourism industry, while developing basic language, communication and professional skills in the aforementioned languages.
At this level, students will continue with the study of basic language skills and basic grammatical structure of the language. Communication skills, both oral and written, will be strengthened so that students will communicate in their professional environment while providing quality services. They will be able to understand the main points of clear, standard speech on familiar subjects relating to their professional field. Students are expected to function at the A1 level of the Common European Framework of References for Languages (CEFR).
